On a hot and sunny morning with little wind, a good crowd showed up to make their way once, twice, or three times around the lake. Early arrivers were treated to a bagpiper from the Scottish Rite Temple across the street playing "Amazing Grace" in the starting line area. The heat prevented the shattering of any course records, but speed was out there as the first 19 finishers in the 5K came in under 25 minutes. In the 15K, Ernie Isaacs (who recently turned 60) tore things up with a 72:24 which puts him in the course record book at 14th.
